Womens Jeans and Society
Jeans are such a broad topic to discuss that even narrowing it down to womens jeans specifically does not really narrow it down at all. It actually adds more things to talk about. Some of these things will be discussed here and these will include things like fashion and comfort. I really do not know of any woman who does not wear jeans. So much effort is made to find the right ones for every one of our body types and shapes and sizes that we each own a pair. This may not be true for every woman but it is a pretty large majority.
After the initial rebellion in the nineteen fifties that took place by male and female teenagers, wearing jeans while not at work really took off. It was a rebellion by teenagers regardless of their gender and so as it became more mainstream it did so for women naturally as well. The more popular and common it became the more acceptable it was. This was not the case for other types of pants but for jeans specifically. Wearing pants took on all other sorts of connotations and was not part of any uprising common to everyone and this is what makes jeans special.
Whenever movie stars wear something it is quite quickly taken on by all their admirers and then made popular by being seen. Then there is the effect where everybody wants to look like that and wants that item. This is no different for jeans and they became more acceptable because they were being worn by the rich and famous. Women have been wearing jeans for so long now that it looks like it will never cease being an item that is updated with the changing fashions.
It is funny how frequently fashion changes yet the jeans do not and the color black does not. The shapes and styles they come in change but the fact that something is black or that it is a pair of jeans does not change. That is how present and constant jeans are. Keep all your jeans that you have now because the styles are sure to be in fashion again some time soon. It is more socially acceptable for a woman to be wearing jeans than if a woman were to wear pants, just like it was all those years ago so let's just keep wearing them.
It is true that womens stretch jeans have become popular. This is because it is more comfortable to get into this type and also fits snug on a womans body. All womens jeans should be like this as long as the stretch does not let the jeans lose their shape.
