Are you fed up with the premature shrinking of your jeans? Well! This is the cry of most of the people around. You go to the market and after spending much money and time you finally find a prefect pair of jeans, but only after the first wash you see that it shrinks in size. You are just not able to zip it up! Although some of jeans may shrink only for a little time, and after you wear them up they stretch again to their normal size, but why should you be wearing shrunk jeans for even a little time? Therefore, always make your purchase of mens black jeans after a proper consideration and also wash them keeping in mind some important tips.
Here is a list of my recommended tips to keep your jeans from shrinking:
You can prevent shrinking of your jeans right from the first step when you attempt to buy them at the store. Pay a close attention to the fabric that has been used in the making of the jeans. Try to buy the pair which is stretchy; this can be checked through the tag which will show about 2-5% spandex or other stretchy fabric. If the jeans you are getting are made of 100% cotton, this means they will shrink.
Wear your new pair of jeans for at least few hours and then put them in the washer. This will stretch the fibers out of their original shape, which prevents shrinkage. In case, you are wondering why to wash the new pair of jeans; it is so because some of the jeans give off color so when you use it for the first time it might dye your skin or furniture. Washing the new pair will prevent this.
It is better to wash your jeans with cold water as cold water will prevent shrinkage as well as fading out. Hot water shrinks the jeans.
Never dry your jeans in dryer. Air-dry them by either putting them on the line or over the back of the chair. This is because tossing them in the dryer can shrink the fabric, however once they are fully stretched after many uses; you can attempt to put them in dryer at times.
